About the Role:
As the Senior PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-level diagnostic imaging services. You'll oversee daily operations, lead and mentor a dedicated team of professionals, and ensure exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the future of our new site, driving quality service delivery in alignment with NSW Health and Australian Nuclear Medicine standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of PET and Nuclear Medicine Technologists, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration.
- Perform high-quality PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and NSW Radiation Control regulations.
- Oversee quality control and routine maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centred care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of site-specific protocols and procedures.
- Promote the continuous professional development of the team through training and mentorship programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Diagnostic CT license (essential).
- Proven experience in PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting (highly desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of the NSW Radiation Control Act and Australian practice standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
