Lumus Imaging are looking for a Regional Sonographer Lead to oversee and coordinate the operations of sonographer services within our Brisbane Region from Spring Hill to North Lakes/Redcliffe. This is a leadership role that will require you to use your technical expertise in sonography to support the delivery of high quality Ultrasound services.  You will also use and demonstrate administrative capabilities to adhere to regulatory standards and the effective management of resources. Reporting to the operations manager, this role will manage a team of 40+ sonographers over 9 sites including private clinics, hospital contracts and tertiary breast centre

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide leadership and direction to a regional team of sonographers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Drive the management of Sonography team members including recognition and performance reviews
  • Responsible for active resource management across sites based on business demand, including supporting recruitment and roster approval
  • Deliver technically advanced sonographic services including advanced MSK; vascular; obstetric and paediatric procedures
  • Support the development and review of all national Ultrasound policies and procedures
  • Ensure administrative duties are adhered to including accurate billing procedures, documentation storage of CPD, equipment maintenance and incident management

 

To be considered for this role your skills and attributes should include:

 

  • Significant experience post qualification as a Sonographer, including high quality, independent general and advanced sonography (including MSK, Vascular, Obstetrics and Paediatric) experience
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to role model behaviours and standards in line with the organisation’s culture and values with patients, clients and employees
  • Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Clinical Sonography
  • ASAR accreditation
