Our Lumus Imaging department within the Northern Private Hospital offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional services including General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mobiles and Theatre, Cath Lab and Vascular procedures, and interventional procedures. This brand new hospital and imaging department opened in Feb 2024 and boasts state of the art equipment and a beautiful, clean, environmentally friendly working environment. The imaging department currently services mostly outpatient appointment bookings with some in-patient exams and interventional procedures from within the hospital which are expected to increase as the hospital increases their patient load and as the consulting suites reach full tenancy in the coming months.
About the Role:
Located in our Northern Region, an exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced CT Radiographer to take the next step in their career and become our new CT supervisor. This is a permanent full-time position working alongside the Chief Radiographer and other modality supervisors to provide a highly professional and friendly service, and to deliver a high quality standard of imaging for our patients and our referring doctors. In this role you will be based at our Northern Private department on our 320 Slice Canon scanner, but you will also be responsible for 2 other scanners at our smaller sites nearby. The role will involve maintenance and improvement of CT protocols, ordering of stock, helping with audits and radiation dose information, liaising with referrers, and the ongoing provision of our Cardiac CT service which is a large focus due to Cardiology teams located within the hospital and surrounding consulting suites. You will also be responsible for training new staff and helping students with their placement requirements.
Role requirements:
- Comprehensive clinical experience in CT
- A great attitude with a strong desire to improve services.
- Very high standards of imaging quality and patient care
- Excellent communication and people skills, ability to be assertive, and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Effective time management skills
- A good understanding of patient, staff, radiation and workplace safety practices
- University or equivalent qualifications in Medical Imaging Technology
- Current AHPRA Registration and Vic radiation license
- Driver’s license
