About the role
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team at Northern Beaches Hospital.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a key role in ensuring every visit runs smoothly and every patient feels welcomed and well-informed.
Key responsibilities
- Greeting patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Scheduling and confirming appointments via phone and online booking systems
- Processing Medicare, DVA and private health fund billing and claims
- Maintaining accurate patient records and handling confidential information in line with privacy legislation
- Coordinating patient flow and liaising with radiologists and radiographers
- Managing incoming referrals and correspondence with referring doctors
About you
- Previous customer service experiece, medical reception or diagnostic imaging highly desirable
- Confident with Medicare billing, health fund claims and patient management software
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient care
- Highly organised and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Empathetic and professional when working with patients who may be anxious or unwell
- Available to work across rotating weekday shifts; weekend availability is an advantage
