About the role

As MRI Supervisor, you will lead the MRI department, drawing on your extensive technical knowledge and leadership capability to ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging services. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of MRI safety, scan quality, and patient care, while supporting and developing your team.

This role suits a confident leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and remains calm under pressure — all while delivering exceptional patient and customer experiences.

You’ll be working with a new Siemens 3T Lumina MRI scanner, alongside experienced Radiologists, in a modern, purpose-built facility.

About you

  • Proven experience providing training and support to MRI staff and assisting with practice management
  • Ability to maintain production levels and ensure the highest quality of MRI imaging
  • Experience with Siemens MRI scanners (essential)
  • Experience working with a 3T MRI scanner, ideally Siemens Lumina
  • High level of expertise in MRI safety
  • Adaptation techniques and protocol optimisation experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service
  • Recognised University (or equivalent) qualification in Medical Imaging Technology
  • Current AHPRA registration and Tasmanian radiation licence
  • Sound understanding of WHS practices
