About the role

Lumus Imaging Nambucca Heads is seeking friendly, team-oriented Medical Receptionists to join our busy Medical Imaging Department. This role is offered Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, providing a consistent daytime schedule with no evening or weekend shifts required.

You’ll play a key part in welcoming patients, supporting referrers, and assisting with a range of imaging services including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, and Mammography. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous medical administration experience is ideal but not essential. Strong customer service or administrative experience is highly valued.

  • Initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently when required.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Confident use of multiple IT systems with solid computer literacy.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and patient record management.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and referrers.

  • Greeting patients, managing calls and emails, and assisting with general enquiries.

  • Scheduling radiology appointments and providing accurate quotes and preparation details.

  • Completing general clerical duties and maintaining accurate patient records.

  • Liaising professionally with reception colleagues, referrers, and the clinical team.

  • Processing Medicare billing and handling daily banking tasks.
