Our team in Varsity Lakes are on the lookout for a permanent Full Time Medical Receptionist to join them in providing the best service and care to our patients.

As a Medical Receptionist you will be providing face to face support to patients, acting as the first point of contact to ensure a smooth experience for their appointments. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the booking of appointments, and working with referring medical practitioners.

This is a Full Time position working 38 hours per week.

You will be responsible for all reception duties:

  • Deliver high quality patient care when performing all clerical duties.
  • General clerical duties, including taking incoming phone calls, responding to email enquiries, and accurate data entry skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and care, including greeting patients at the front desk, actioning electronic/faxed referrals, and online enquiries and bookings.
  • Schedule radiology exam appointments, including XR, Ultrasound, CT, Mammogram, MRI and interventional procedures.
  • Patient record management in line with privacy and confidentiality policies.
  • Liasing with other receptionists, radiographers, sonographers, Radiologists, referring doctors and other medical professionals, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Medicare, DVA and Work Cover billing and banking.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous administration and customer/patient care experience.
  • Has exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
  • Is proactive, cooperative and performs well in a fast paced environment.
  • Has an interest and desire to learn and improve.
  • Please note: knowledge of Radiology, Medicare and DVA is advantageous, but not essential.
