What You Will Be Doing

As Collection Lead, you will be reporting to the Area Manager and will be responsible for the management of a designated area of ACC (Accredited Collection Centre) sites and the coordination of day-to-day operations, as well as providing leadership to a team of pathology collectors, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of clinical and customer service.

Using your exceptional leadership and relationship building skills, you will be ensuring that your team are placed in the right roles and are equipped to fulfill their roles to a high quality through regular check ins, on-going support and managing training (working with our Collector Trainers).

As well as leading your team of Pathology Collectors, you will be working with a range of stakeholders including Collection Trainers, Area Managers and other senior management.

This role will ensure that designated (ACC) sites meet all People & Culture, Workplace Health & Safety requirements, and relevant accreditation standards.

 

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Pathology Collector and will be a natural people leader, using your passion to develop, mentor and support your team to create a positive and meaningful team culture and enable them to provide quality patient care.

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:

  • A sound knowledge of & experience in the pathology industry and 5 + years' experience as a Pathology Collector

  • Proven ability and experience in leading teams

  • Capable of functioning autonomously and prioritising your work and the work of others within established policies, guidelines, and procedures

  • The ability to identify new or improved opportunities and processes to enhance organisational strategy

  • Well-developed administrative skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt style based on the needs of the audience

  • Ability to summarise information and required actions into simple concise terms that your team can understand

 

Vaccination Requirements

  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role

  • Other vaccinations based on location may be required / setting
