About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a person interested in the medical field to further their knowledge assist the community in our Ballarat Laboratory. The role entails mostly administration-based tasks. Answering emails, retrieving cases for clinical trials, preparing cases to be reviewed at clinical meetings, collation of cases to be referred for specialist testing and filing of blocks and slides. The 15 hours would preferably be spread over 3 days, Monday to Wednesday. These work hours can negotiated.

 

About you 

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • You are passionate person interested in the medical field and participating in the care of patients.
  • You display excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work within a team as well as by yourself. You thrive in a busy environment and can work at a fast pace while demonstrating high attention to detail.
  • This role would suit someone looking to enter the field or further their knowledge while studying.
  • All appointments are made subject to the successful applicant having full immunity against Hepatitis B, providing evidence of such and a current satisfactory National Police Certificate.
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.
