About The Role
 
We are currrently seeking a multi-skilled Despatch Operator to join our Brisbane team and enjoy stability and fulfilment with QML Pathology. This is a permanent part-time position (74 hours per fortnight), offering comprehensive training, clear progression pathways and the chance to make a positive difference in the community.

You will play an essential role in coordinating our Courier operations and ensuring timely, safe and efficient movement of pathology samples across South East Queensland.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Despatch adhoc jobs to our Courier network via our despatch software program
  • Respond to incoming phone calls from external stakeholders, staff and collection centres
  • Provide a high level of customer service across all interactions
  • Support the Courier network and coordinate operational issues, including breakdowns and accidents
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold QML Pathology’s integrity
  • Ensure compliance with QML policies, procedures, Workplace Health & Safety requirements and online learning modules
  • Multiskilling to assist with Courier operations may be required

 

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the below criteria;
  • A current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence
  • Sound computer skills (Microsoft suite intermediate preferred)
  • Professional presentation, integrity, reliability and alignment with our organisational values
  • Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a busy environment
  • Critical‑thinking, problem‑solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs
  • A positive, team‑focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues, complete required training and adhere to QML Pathology policies and procedures
