The Role

As part of a training team, and in your role as Collections trainer, you will be responsible for leading group training sessions, one-to-one sessions, and ongoing assessments in collection rooms across Canberra and the ACT.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  •  Keep training records, conduct assessments and track the progress of the collection team.
  •  Provide continuous improvement for training procedures.
  •  Assist in resolving any training issues
  •  Lead group training sessions of 10-12 new collectors over a 2-week training program
  •  Travel to clinics across Canberra and the ACT to provide on-going one-on-one training
  •  Assessments of existing collectors

 

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a Certificate III in Pathology, and be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment if you don't have one. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology collection and a proven ability to train and teach adults, simplifying complex technical information in an accessible way. Flexibility in training style to meet the diverse needs of individuals and groups is essential, along with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This role requires the ability to teach both large groups and one-on-one effectively. A full and valid driver’s license with the willingness to travel across Canberra and the ACT is required, along with a Working with Children’s Check.
