This is a 12‑month parental leave cover where you’ll play a key role in managing and optimising Healius’ national commercial property portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll help deliver cost‑effective, compliant and strategically aligned leasing outcomes that support our healthcare services across Australia. The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

As a Leasing Executive, you will be responsible for the strategic management of commercial leases across Healius’ property portfolio, supporting business performance through cost optimisation, risk mitigation and informed property advice.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Group’s commercial lease portfolio in line with strategic objectives
  • Negotiate leases, renewals, options, surrenders and dispute resolution outcomes
  • Identify and deliver lease cost savings and value creation opportunities
  • Manage critical lease dates and mitigate portfolio risk
  • Interpret leases and provide strategic property advice to internal stakeholders
  • Prepare property summaries, financial analysis and Executive recommendation papers
  • Analyse asset performance, cashflows and market benchmarks
  • Manage lease documentation, securities and insurance in partnership with Legal
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with landlords and internal stakeholders
  • Act as escalation point for lease and facilities issues, ensuring properties remain safe and operational

 

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially minded property professional with strong negotiation capability and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach. You’re comfortable working across a diverse national portfolio and enjoy partnering with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that balance financial performance, risk and operational needs.

 

You will ideally bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a property‑related role
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial lease negotiations
  • Strong financial and analytical capability
  • Experience preparing business cases and Executive‑level recommendations
  • Current and valid driver licence
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple locations nationally
  • Experience within the healthcare property sector (preferred)
