As Supply Supervisor, you will oversee the operation of the Stores Department.

As well as ensuring the procurement, storage and distribution is in line with productivity targets and business expectations, you will be establishing processes, ensuring workplace health & safety requirements are met and will be responsible for the management of staff.

What You Will Be Doing

As Supply Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operation of the Stores Department and facility.

Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, you will be overseeing the procurement, storage and distribution in line with productivity targets and business expectations.

You will be creating and monitoring administration systems and stores processes to ensure continuous improvement and to ensure objectives are met.

You will also be using your leadership skills for the management of a team, overseeing people management activities such as staff training, mentoring and onboarding.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operations management – evaluating & implementing robust operational processes for maximum efficiency, including setting goals and managing budgeted costs
  • Creation, implementation and monitoring of data and systems to ensure integrity & validity
  • Ensuring the safety and compliant storage of consumables and accountability for inventory levels, including managing the safe storage of anatomical records on and off site
  • Overseeing the purchasing of consumables and assets via SAP & P2P
  • Supervising a team of staff, including the recruitment, performance management, training, mentoring and other team management responsibilities
  • Overseeing the workplace health & safety practices and obligations, including hazard management, ensuring WHS policy & procedures are adhered to and incidents, accidents or injuries are reported within the policy guidelines

To be successful in this role, you will be experienced in inventory and warehouse, ideally within a scientific industry or similar. You will also have team management skills as you will be supervising a team of staff.

 

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:

  • Minimum 5 years of Inventory and Warehouse experience
  • Proficient in the use of SAP Inventory Management System and thorough understanding of inventory planning and movements
  • Ability to collate and analyse data
  • Be a strategic thinker and use initiative
  • Solid communication skills and ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Organise time effectively and work in a changing and pressured environment
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and influence others
