Vetnostics Pathology VIC (a subsidiary of Dorevitch Pathology) is a specialist veterinary pathology laboratory dedicated to providing diagnostic pathology services to veterinarians. Vetnostics in VIC has a team of dedicated and experienced veterinary pathologists. The service offers a wide range of veterinary pathology laboratory testing, including biochemistry and haematology, microbiology, endocrinology, serology, histopathology and cytology. Vetnostics Pathology VIC is part of the national network of Veterinary Pathology testing within Healius Pathology. Reporting to the National Veterinary Business Development Manager we are currently seeking a Veterinary Liaison Officer.  

Based at Mulgrave or Heidelberg this is a full-time role working 38 hours per week. Some regional travel will be required in this role.  
This position is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as building new client relationships through the identification of business opportunities and utilizing state MLO teams.   

What You Will Be Doing

Key responsibilities of this role:
•    Maintaining and improving existing customer service and client relationships
•    Building new customer relationships
•    Strengthen and build market position - identify new opportunities for growth 
•    Providing client support, acting as a customer advocate covering all areas of service delivery.
•    Collaborating with management to support our business to provide a quality and efficient service 
•    Networking - attend relevant events such as Continuing Education Sessions and Marketing and Promotional Events
•    Meet required behavioral (customer, operational & functional) and financial KPI’s (as determined by the business)
•    Working with key operational team members to manage customer and laboratory expectation

 

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:

•    Experience in the veterinary industry or diagnostic pathology industry 
•    Experience in Business development or marketing 
•    Demonstrated outstanding communication skills
•    A level of initiative and be self-driven
•    Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
