Schedule: Various shifts between 10:00am to 01:30am, Monday to Friday and participate in a Saturday and Public Holiday roster, as required.

Hourly rate: $25.85 to $26.85 depending on experience (not including relevant penalty rates,allowances,loadings etc)

About the role 

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers  
  • Pre and post analytical specimen handling
  • Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens  
  • Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
  • Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required
  • Staying up to date with processing updates  
  • Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries  
  • Identifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytic stage

  • Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential 
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes in achieving outcomes
