Work type: Full Time (Permanent)  38 hours per week

 

Schedule: 7.6hr shift Monday to Friday between the hours 06:00 and 18:00 with occassional overtime and out-of-usual hours as per the operational needs

About the Role 

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Performing routine diagnostic assays using manual processes and automated equipment while adhering to documented procedures
  • Specimen storage and retrieval
  • Equipment maintenance and operation
  • Maintenance of records
  • Assist with stock control
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer

 

About You 

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • Previous laboratory experience, preferably in diagnostic testing, is desirable  
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Sound understanding and management of internal quality control principles & practice
  • Sound semi automated pipetting skills
  • Sound analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team as well as individually
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
