About the Role
The position is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in the promotion of a culture of Quality Management and quality improvement processes throughout QML & TML Pathology through the implementation and maintenance of NATA/RCPA Accreditation Requirements.
Role Reponsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of laboratory NATA/RCPA accreditations for all QML & TML Pathology laboratories
- Assist with the maintenance of continued Medicare Australia registration as Approved Pathology Laboratories.
- Assist with the maintenance of the quality procedures and processes throughout QML & TML Pathology
- Assist with the coordination of improvement projects
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system
- Participate in external audits as conducted by NATA.
- Review all outcomes from external audits to identify improvement opportunities

Review non-conformances to ensure their effectiveness in improving the quality system

Organise, perform and follow-up internal audits as directed by the Quality Manager

Assist with the development and review of all relevant internal policy documents and procedure manuals and form

Effective communication with key stakeholders to promote the achievement of agreed objectives/KPIs related to proactive quality management in QML & TML Pathology is a key requirement for this role.
Skills and Qulificiations:
- Tertiary qualification in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Background in Medical Laboratory Science
- Quality systems management experience
