  • 1 in every 8 weekends (TOIL day in lieu of weekend work):
    • Saturday: 0500–0930
    • Sunday: 0600–0900

About the Role

 

We are seeking a Rostering Officer to join our high-performing Rostering Team and help keep our vital healthcare services running smoothly. As a Rostering Officer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our clinics are staffed effectively across Queensland, Tasmania, and Western Australia. You’ll manage rosters, respond to last-minute changes, and balance competing priorities.

 

This role is based in Murarrie, with potential for a hybrid arrangement, and all weekend shifts are worked remotely.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure rosters within designated areas are available at least six weeks in advance
  • Create and maintain staff profiles in Workforce Dimensions (WFD) and ensure accuracy of position, hours, award, area, and shift
  • Timely and accurate data entry of any changes to shifts in WFD
  • Action updates or changes to rosters due to personal leave, shift swap requests, or unforeseen requirements
  • Manage vacancies within Collections in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Monitor casual employees: availability, declined shifts, and variability of areas/shifts worked
  • Utilise Reliever Collectors to the full extent of their contracted hours within the most efficient radius of their nominated hub
  • Liaise with the Commercial Team promptly if vacancies cannot be filled or only partially filled

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural problem-solver who can think on your feet and stay calm under pressure. You may enjoy puzzles and patterns or have a strong analytical mind that thrives on logic.

  • Rostering or scheduling experience preferred, but not essential
  • Experience with Kronos or other rostering/scheduling systems is highly regarded
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a positive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player who contributes to a positive, respectful, and supportive culture
  • Availability to work a fortnightly rotating roster
  • We welcome applicants with strong transferable skills such as office administration, reception, customer service, logistics, or anyone with a strong analytical mind
