About the Role

 

The purpose of this role is to be accountable and responsible for supporting and managing IT systems within Healius environment.

Working within the Operational Technology Services Team as a All-Rounder Senior System Administrator.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Server infrastructure on-prem, virtualized, and in private hosted cloud
  • Procure, install, configure and maintain ICT assets and associated operating systems
  • Responsible for backup & replications
  • Undertake recovery action in the event of a hardware or system failure
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
  • Implement and co-ordinate housekeeping procedures, including backups, setting up user accounts, monitoring file access, checking logs etc.
  • Manage and update internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.
  • Ensure system and security patches are applied to systems to limit cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups & replications, both daily and weekly.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
  • Managing the internal infrastructure including servers, storage and networking
  • Proactive maintenance and monitoring.
  • Apply Operating System patches and upgrades on a monthly basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.
  • Assist the Systems Manager in the design and execution of our digital roadmap.
  • Implement improvements to systems and business processes, utilising supporting technologies to enhance overall organisational performance.
  • Managing Active Directory and infrastructure services like DHCP, DNS, DFS on regular basis to make sure standards are maintained according to the policies.

 

 

Skill, Qualification & Experience:

 

  • Experience working with business-critical ICT infrastructure, physical and virtual
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop and Server operating systems
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, Security Groups, Share permissions and Group Policy
  • SQL Server Administration
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, FTP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Subnets, IPWAN and patching
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Experience with HyperV and VMware
  • Understanding of data backup concepts & different backup types
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both hardware and software.
  • Attention to detail to ensure information is accurately captured and documented.

  • 5+ years as System Admin role
