Western Diagnostics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusions Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team based in Murdoch. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assisting MPU doctors with medical procedures including Bone Marrow Biopsies, Iron Infusions, Venesections, Short Synacthen and Mantoux testing
- Removal of cannulas, wound checks and patient after care education
- Providing clinical backup of medical emergencies (eg severe allergic reactions)
- Compliance and adherence with Western Diagnostic Pathology policies and procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety procedures
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Registered Nurse (current registration with AHPRA) (Essential)
- Immunisation Program Nurse practicing under a Drug Therapy (desirable)
- Experience with clinical work, intravenous therapy and vaccination programs (desirable)
- An outstanding patient / customer focus, including the ability to liaise with internal and external customers
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy; and
- A current Driver’s Licence
