We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Queensland. This is a great opportunity to move into a role with more focus on change management and organisational development.

Leveraging your robust generalist HR skills, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with our team members and managers across the support office team. You will develop and maintain productive partnerships to deliver value-added service to functional managers, leaders and employees to achieve the business objectives of the organisation. This includes providing direction and guidance for team members, as well as all people matters across the employment lifecycle.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Provide guidance and support regarding recruitment and selection processes ensuring that we are executing the workforce plan to meet business requirements 
•    Support our managers to effectively on-board new team members 
•    Provide appropriate guidance, coaching and tools to support managers to success to drive performance and the required outputs and actions
•    Ensure that our team members role model our values via their actions and behaviours
•    Collate data analytics and reporting to provide fact based insights to enhance decision making, provide information to inform business initiatives and demonstrate trends and focus areas
•    Provide ER and IR advice, guidance and support to employees, line managers and leaders
•    Managing ER matters, ensuring that grievances are appropriately managed and provide robust, commercial advice regarding recommendations and outcomes
•    Interpret agreements and legislation and provide direction and clarification on ER matters
•    Support the business in relation to claims in external jurisdictions such as the Fair Work Commission 
•    Support group, divisional and people technology programs and projects 
•    Ensure that line managers are focussed on value adding activities that are aligned to the achievement of strategy initiatives
•    Support and executive change initiatives and program requirements
•    Proactively identify and manage risks and ensure that all team members are aware of their obligations 

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:


•    3 to 5 years’ experience as a P&C Business Partner in a similar industry
•    Tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resource Management, Psychology or similar
•    Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource issues, practices and relevant legislation
•    Strong knowledge of employee relations, the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislations
•    Knowledge of relevant legislation including Anti-Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety, Privacy and Freedom of Information
•    Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
•    Experience coaching and upskilling hiring managers 
•    Experience in organisational development and change management
