What You’ll Be Doing
In your role as a Pathology Collector Reliever, you’ll be integral to the smooth running of our clinics and hospitals, stepping in to cover shifts for scheduled or unplanned absences.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) from patients with the utmost care and attention.
- Travelling to various clinics and hospital locations within a designated geographic area.
- Providing exceptional customer service while maintaining meticulous records and delivering specimens promptly.
- Coordinating specimen transport and liaising with various staff members, patients, and couriers.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Pathology Collector, or someone with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, who is enthusiastic about making a difference in people’s lives. If you’re a Registered Nurse seeking a career change or you’re looking to get back into the workforce with regular daytime shifts, this could be a perfect fit for you!
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Cert III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background (Phlebotomy experience preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic care to patients.
- The ability to work independently, especially in solo clinic environments.
- A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to various clinics.
- A Working with Children Check or the willingness to obtain one.
- The ability to meet our vaccination requirements, including Hepatitis B and other location-specific vaccines.
