As Data Analyst you will work with the Analytics team to discover and communicate insights into the business. This position is expected to work with a variety of stakeholders from different parts of the business to solve their analytics problems, as well as technical stakeholders to ensure data is accurate.

 

Responsibilities: 

•    Undertake analysis to uncover insights from a wide range of datasets
•    Development of dashboards using data visualization techniques to track key metrics for each of the businesses
•    Work with internal stakeholders to understand business drivers, provide ad-hoc analysis and communicate insights & actions
•    Work with analytics team to identify new data sources and specify data warehouse requirements
•    Learn & apply new analytics techniques


Skills and Experience
•    Tertiary qualification in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies or a related discipline is preferable
•    Strong SQL skills, able to interpret and produce complex SQL queries
•    Strong Power BI skills
•    Proficiency in Excel and/or Python advantageous
•    Passionate about using data to deliver actionable insights
•    Tech savvy, passion for learning different software
•    Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
•    2-3 years’ experience in an analytics environment developing dashboards & undertaking ad-hoc analysis
