What You Will Be Doing

 

As National Specialist and Hospital Manager, you’ll lead Healius’ specialist and hospital strategy across Australia with a focus on growth, retention and market development. You’ll manage and develop a national team of Business Development and Key Account Managers, ensuring they are supported, high-performing, and aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.

You’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across private hospitals, day surgeries, health insurers, and specialist medical groups. This includes leading strategic negotiations, overseeing account planning and acting as executive sponsor for major clients.

Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the executive leadership team, you’ll shape national campaigns, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the delivery of tailored, value-based solutions that set Healius apart. You’ll leverage CRM tools and performance data to guide decisions, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement across the team.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coach a high-performing national sales and account management team
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key hospital and specialist stakeholders
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic engagement and solution delivery
  • Oversee retention strategies and ensure service delivery meets client expectations
  • Execute national initiatives and campaigns aligned to commercial priorities
  • Monitor KPIs and team performance, using data to guide decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and operational readiness
  • Promote efficiency and continuous improvement through data-driven practices and CRM tools

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:

  • Proven experience (7–10 years) in sales, business development or account management within healthcare (ideally in pathology, diagnostics, medical devices or pharmaceuticals)
  • Proven ability to lead national teams and manage complex client portfolios
  • Strong understanding of the Australian private healthcare system and referral pathways
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Inspirational leadership and clear communication style
  • Comfortable with CRM systems and digital reporting tools
  • Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field (desirable)
