What You Will Be Doing

The Masterdata Officer will support the Masterdata and Revenue Assurance Teams to maximise Pathology revenue and ensure that it is billed in accordance with contractual agreements and complies with Commonwealth legislation for Medicare and Health Fund billing.  This role sits within the Healius Finance team, reporting to the Masterdata Team Lead and will work closely with the Masterdata Team, Revenue Assurance Team, Revenue Team, Finance Team and Project Team.  

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

•    Review and update patient, testing and billing information to correct Xtend, Suspend and Claiming errors
•    Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all data sources to resolve data errors in healthcare billing and claiming
•    Identify and resolve data quality issues promptly  
•    Maintain data accuracy to resolve data errors in healthcare billing and claiming, ensuring accurate and timely processing
•    Ensure the invoice printing process runs smoothly, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact timely invoice generation and distribution.
•    Maintain open and effective communication with all staff in Revenue to ensure alignment on billing processes and data integrity.
•    Assist in updating and maintaining job-specific reference documentation to ensure clarity and consistency in procedures

 

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

 

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess

•   A background in Accounts Receivables, System Administrator or Data entry
•    Demonstrated high level communication interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•    Knowledge and practical experience with pathology or diagnostic billing – would be advantageous
•    Experience with billing systems and clinical systems
•    Demonstrated experience working with sensitive information and consideration for confidentiality and privacy
