About the role 

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Organisation of shift allocations to ensure adequate rostering to the requirements of the region
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of Pathology Specimen Collectors
  • Ensure best practice service standards are met in all locations
  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients
  • Packaging and dispatching of specimens, including stock and equipment maintenance
  • Co-ordination of customer appointments and request details
  • Ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Policies

 

About you 

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of Phlebotomy and the ability to supervise staff
  • Deliver training with positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and intermediate computer experience
  • Strong customer focus and accuracy with attention to detail
  • A current full (unrestricted) driver licence is required 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures and convey this knowledge to both existing and new employees
