At Healius, we all have one thing in common: we’re passionate about making a difference to the health of Australians. Right now, it’s an exciting time to join us as we transform into a stronger, more agile organisation focused on excellent customer and patient experiences, smarter ways of working, and providing a great place to work.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their People & Culture career, or looking for a foot in the door to the P&C function. With a strong process and administrative focus, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, attention to detail and learning by doing, while developing their career within one of Australia’s leading healthcare organisations.

About Us

Healius has an expansive network of over 80 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. This means that you will be working in a business large enough to offer you job stability & security, interstate mobility and the opportunity to fulfil your career ambitions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will support the effective delivery of People & Culture services by coordinating core HR operations and providing first‑level advice to employees and managers. You will ensure people processes are delivered accurately, compliantly and within agreed timeframes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Generate employment contracts and variations in line with approved templates
  • Maintain accurate employee and contractor data within the HRIS
  • Respond to routine enquiries regarding leave, employment conditions and policies, escalating complex matters as required
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, records and correspondence
  • Collate HR data for reporting, metrics and workforce insights
  • Provide administrative and system support across People & Culture processes and cyclical activities (e.g. wage increases)
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and suggesting practical enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and internal policy requirements
  • Build effective working relationships with managers and internal stakeholders

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you enjoy being the person who keeps things organised, accurate and moving. You pick up new systems and processes quickly, use your initiative, and take pride in supporting others through clear, well‑run processes.

You will ideally bring:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a Human Resources, People & Culture or administrative role
  • Strong administration skills, with experience managing documentation, data or process‑driven work
  • Confidence learning new systems and applying new information
  • High attention to detail and an organised, structured approach
  • A Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (highly regarded but not essential)

We believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in. Our ways of leading are the behaviours we expect our people to embody: Customer Focused, Accountable, Collaborative, Credible and Resourceful.
