This is a pivotal and highly visible role supporting the Business Support Manager through high‑quality budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and operational stakeholders to support the integrity of financial systems and contribute to key deliverables such as long‑term financial planning, monthly and annual reporting, and performance monitoring across the business.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will provide financial planning, reporting and analytical support to Dorevitch Pathology. Partnering closely with the Business Support Manager, senior leaders and operational stakeholders, you will support sound financial governance and performance outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans within agreed timeframes.
- Produce monthly and annual financial and management reports, including variance and performance analysis.
- Support performance monitoring through regular budget reviews, forecasting updates and financial insights.
- Provide financial analysis and business case support for projects, tenders, contract extensions and capital expenditure.
- Review and enhance financial systems, models, processes and reporting to ensure accuracy, integrity and usability of financial information.
- Prepare and present clear financial insights, results and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
- Support audit requirements, cost management initiatives and specialist financial projects as required.
- Partner with operational and leadership stakeholders to provide trusted financial advice and support sound financial outcomes.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced accounting or finance professional with a strong background in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and corporate reporting. You will bring strong analytical and numerical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes.
You will ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Accounting (preferred).
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant
- 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, with proven experience in management accounting or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering budgets and forecasts.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate or management reporting, including variance and performance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, including risk considerations.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate and analyse financial data.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
