Workforce Management Manager

Date: 30 Mar 2026

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, AU, 2000

Company: Healius

Job Reference: 20038

Why You Will Be Excited About This Role

At Healius, we all have one thing in common – we are passionate about making a difference to the health of Australians. And right now, it’s a pretty exciting time to join us, as we transform into a stronger, more agile organisation focused on creating excellent customer and patient experiences, smarter ways of working, and continuing our focus on being a great place to work.

This role sits at the heart of how Healius supports a large, complex and highly operational workforce. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how workforce practices enable both our people and the business to perform at their best.

You’ll operate in an environment where strong leadership really matters — balancing operational realities with sound governance and compliance. It’s a role for someone who values thoughtful decision‑making and wants to contribute to a purpose‑driven organisation where workforce integrity underpins quality patient care.

Based in our Sydney CBD head office, you’ll join a collaborative and supportive People & Culture Services team, with the opportunity to help shape how workforce practices continue to evolve across the organisation.

About Us

Healius has an expansive network of over 80 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.

We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities.

This means that you will be working in a business large enough to offer you job stability & security, interstate mobility and the opportunity to fulfil your career ambitions.

What You Will Be Doing

As Workforce Management Manager, you’ll play a central role in ensuring time and attendance outcomes are accurate, compliant and well supported across the organisation. You’ll balance day‑to‑day operational oversight with stakeholder engagement and team leadership in a fast‑moving, highly operational environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the operational delivery of Healius’ UKG Dimensions (Kronos) Time & Attendance environment, ensuring accurate time capture and correct flow through to SAP/MyHub Payroll.
  • Manage award and enterprise agreement interpretation, pay rules and system logic to support consistent, compliant workforce outcomes.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex timecard, rostering and pay related issues, partnering closely with Operations, Payroll and People & Culture.
  • Work closely with the WFM technical support team to prioritise configuration changes, resolve system issues and translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders and line managers, providing clear guidance, follow up and support around time & attendance expectations.
  • Embed a strong compliance mindset across the team and broader business, constructively influencing leaders and challenging practices that create risk.
  • Oversee exception management, approvals and data quality to reduce payroll errors and rework.
  • Provide regular insights and reporting to support operational decision making and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance, improve user experience and streamline workforce processes.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team supporting workforce outcomes, providing structure, clarity and calm leadership in a fast paced environment.

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

This role will suit an experienced people manager with strong UKG/Kronos experience who can bring structure, sound judgement and strong people skills to a complex, operational environment. You’re confident influencing a wide range of stakeholders and acting as a solutions‑focused bridge between the business and technical teams.

You will ideally bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar workforce, time & attendance or HR systems role within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with UKG Dimensions / Kronos (essential).
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach and support teams and build credibility with operational leaders.
  • Experience working in environments highly reliant on time & attendance outcomes (e.g. healthcare, FMCG, retail, manufacturing or other shift‑based workforces).
  • A solid understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and compliance requirements, including overtime and penalty application.
  • A calm, solutions‑oriented approach under pressure, with the confidence to manage escalations and push back when needed.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different business groups.
  • Experience partnering with Payroll, People & Culture, IT and technical system teams to deliver practical, compliant outcomes.

We believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in. Our ways of leading are the behaviours that we expect our people to embody and are: Customer Focused, Accountable, Collaborative, Credible & Resourceful.
