About the role 

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Pre & post analytical specimen handling
  • Perform routine receipt and processing of specimens in a timely and efficient manner
  • Initial preparation and aliquoting of various samples for the testing departments 
  • Operate and maintain required instrumentation
  • Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
  • Solving common sample and workflow problems in a timely manner
  • Answering telephone enquiries, troubleshooting and add-on tests
  • Disposal of biological waste
  • Scanning and Archiving of all paperwork
  • Inputting patients' data via scanning and filing records into computer systems
  • Cleaning duties and preparation of cleaning solutions and consumables
  • Participate in a rotating roster
  • Maintain compliance with WHS policies and procedures, and commitment to a safety culture

 

About you

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of GGG ULTRA Computer System desirable but not essential
  • Clearly follow processes and procedures
  •  Be compliant with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards and Workplace Health & Safety Procedures
  • Undertake Manual handling duties as required
