Schedule: Ability to participate in a 24/7 roster. Various shifts between Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays, as required.

About the role

We are seeking aAbout the role n individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
•    Routine receipting and processing of specimens
•    Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests 
•    Respond to sample requirements and general queries  
•    Handling phone calls from internal and external customers. 
•    Maintaining accurate records of processes and procedures performed on site in a timely manner
•    Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage
•    General laboratory maintenance including ordering and receipting of stores, storage and retrieval of specimens.
•    Additionally, this role includes supporting the courier responsibilities of pick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products, X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste to and from referring customers, as needed
•    Physical capability to be able to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg -15kg

•    A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
•    Previous laboratory experience is desirable, but not essential
•    Certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desirable, but not essential
