An opportunity is now available for a switched on individual to join our NSW Workers’ Compensation as WC Administrator.The position holder will be responsible for the timely and accurate administration of Workers Compensation Claims and ancillary office administration functions for the NSW Workers Compensation Claims Department.
What You Will Be Doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensure timely registration of new claims
• Registration of Medical Certificates within 24 hours
• Opening, date stamping and distribution of daily mail on day or receipt
• All authorised accounts are entered into Safety Suite within 24 hours of receipt
• All unpaid authorized accounts followed up with Accounts Payable and or vendor.
• All account enquiries are attended to in a timely manner
• All reimbursement claims from injured workers verified prior to payment
• Assist claims staff in obtaining reports from external providers, including but not limited to Police Report, Return to Work Plans, Medical Reports.
• Assist in day to day claims management tasks as directed and when required
• Liaise with claim staff and archive provider to coordinate the effective storage and management of hard copy claim files.
• Maintain claims administration records in accordance with Healius’ policies and procedures
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of workers’ compensation law and claims management is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in a Claims Administration Role in a self-insured organisation or agent is desirable
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP/Safety Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to handle a number of major tasks in the order of importance and relevance to the business
- Demonstrated experience in a Claims Administration Role in a self-insured organisation or agent
