At Healius Pathology, we're building a modern web application using Django and React to replace existing systems used in pathology lab workflows. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside a talented team of developers, technical leads, and application specialists to design and develop the Laboratory Information System (LIS) that supports critical work in pathology laboratories. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the product's direction, addressing software defects, and developing new features driven by business specifications.

What You Will Be Doing

 

As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Healius Pathology, you will be responsible for software development and testing using agile methodologies. You will implement new features based on business requirements, develop and refine the product’s direction with the development team, and resolve software defects reported by users. Your role will involve collaborating closely with technical leads, application specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software within defined timelines and budget. You’ll also adhere to IT frameworks like SDLC and ensure all coding, security, and deployment protocols are met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and test software using agile methodologies.
  • Implement new features to meet business specifications and user needs.
  • Address software defects reported by users, ensuring efficient resolutions.
  • Participate in code review processes to maintain high coding standards.
  • Work with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Adhere to IT frameworks (e.g., SDLC) and IT governance protocols regarding coding, security, and deployments.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety processes and procedures.
  • Foster a strong team culture of agility, efficiency, and respect.

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated, highly organized individual with a passion for full-stack web development. You are a problem solver with strong debugging skills, and you thrive in a collaborative environment. You excel at managing your own workload, working under time pressure, and delivering results on time. You have experience with Python, Django, React, and SQL databases, and you’re excited about using your skills to improve and enhance pathology lab workflows. You are adaptable, able to work across multiple streams, and enjoy continuous learning in a dynamic, technical environment.

  • Experience in Full-stack web development.
  • Proficiency in Python (Django) and TypeScript/JavaScript (React).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL databases.
